Hi, I'm Dr.Veena Soraganvi
Passionate educator and researcher with over three decades of experience in Civil Engineering. Former Dean and Principal at premier engineering institutions with specialization in Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, and GIS applications.

In my tenure as Principal of BEC of 6 months 01.03.2024 to 31.08.2024, many reforms related to academic and research were formulated
- Remedial classes were conducted for academically weak students to improve results.
- Extra training hours were provided in technical skills to enhance student placements.
- Organized ‘Anveshan’ – a project competition and exhibition on 17 May 2024, showcasing:
- 80 projects from first-year students
- 60 projects from higher semester students
- Held ‘Open Day’ on 18 May 2024 for engineering aspirants and parents to explore college infrastructure and academic offerings.
- Conducted ‘Wave 2.0’ – a national-level 24-hour hackathon on 01–02 July 2024, with participation from:
- 100 teams
- 400 students
- Hosted an International Conference on ‘Sustainable Solutions in Engineering & Technology’ on 29–30 August 2024, where over 100 multidisciplinary papers were presented.

- Formulated institutional research policy and guidelines for pursuing research and Ph.D. programs.
- Introduced key reforms to promote research and innovation with the support of management.

- For research publications and patent awards
- For obtaining externally funded research grants
- Initiated financial support for patent applications, approved by management.
- Established a Research Review Committee to enhance the quality of research grant proposals.
- Formed a Research Ethics Committee to oversee:

- Plagiarism checks and ethical compliance
- Mandated documentation and report submission at every stage of the Ph.D. process.
